Hello guys
I build my deck last year from Cedar Tone Pressure Treated Southern Pine.
It is exactly 7 months since I finish it. Once the temperatures reach 50's and stay 50F at least I would like to start staining the deck. What should I do first? And what to use? Any help will be greatly appreciate it since I never done this before.
Also if this helps I live in Frankfort Illinois.

You said "Cedar Tone Pressure Treated Southern Pine". Was the pine pre-stained a cedar color?

I don't think so. I design the deck on home depot website and they order everything for me and delivered it to my house. It says:
Species: Southern Pine
Treatment: Cedar Tone PT
Grade: No.2

It looks like there is a color/stain in the wood. If there is then you need to remove it with a stain stripper and brighten the wood for prep. Can you confirm it is pre-stained with Home Depot?

On their website it says: "This lumber is color infused with lasting cedar-tone colorant."
This season I'm going to build another deck for my above ground pool using the same wood. But why they will stain it first and then I have to remove the stain? It doesn't make any sense for me to pay for that service and now just remove it.

You could just wait until later in the Fall and do the deck. Their "colorant" will be gone by then.

Okay. I will then. How about the pool deck that I will build this summer? Should I do it at the same time also? Or should I wait till next summer?

Depends on how much it weathers. Either would probably be fine.
