Has anyone had experience with or know anything about this Australian brand? Apparently it's highly regarded in Australia and is now available in Canada and the US. They call it an "oil" rather than a "stain". (Then again they call wood "timber". Maybe it's an Aussie thing.)

Dear administrator, Peter Bray of CUTEK International here.

I would just like to reference the customer post and reply from your company if I may?

Firstly let me say that I have enjoyed the content on your site and the engagement and feedback from the public is fantastic. Reviews and advice to get the job done right is a great tag line and from the comments you are getting, it seems that you have developed a good level of trust in the advice you give. I must say that I am a little disappointed that a customer would take the time to come to you for advice as below but has been given an off-the-cuff reply that shows you know nothing of our product and 30 year highly respected international company. CUTEK is a unique long term wood protection solution and has been a top performer over 30 years in the harshest climates around the world. In addition to supplying the residential market, we provide industrial solutions to many wood companies that have movement and staining issues and desire to add value. Many of our customers are among the most innovative companies in the wood industry and have worked with architects and developers on hundreds of award winning architectural projects and engineered structures.

I invite you to take a closer look at our professional wood care line and would be happy to take the time to enable you to understand the unique product that CUTEK is.

Regards,

Peter Bray

It is 100% a gimmick product. We see these products show up every year. Do not waste your time or money

Thanks for you post. After reading more thoroughly it does seem I misjudged and that Cutek is more of a traditional penetrating oil based finish and not an over hyped gimmick. Sorry about that.
