Need some advice

Previously had ready seal mission brown we have tried stripping the deck a few times and in spots it won’t lift at all what should we do I’m over this deck

 And ready to throw a solid stain on it! Any advice would be great! Was looking to do a semi transparent stain

Ready Seal is easy to strip. What stripper did you use? Did you brighten the deck after? The stripper will darken the wood internally, and the brightening restores the color.

FYI, some of your spindles look like a solid stain, not Ready Seal.

@administrator yes we’re going to do them in solid stain. We used sherwin Williams, defy and stain seal expert should we try a brightner again?

it’s darker like it’s still showing stain. I can get a photo when I get home. I’m just lost on what to do as I spent so much time on it already

That looks internal. It may not come out. You can use a dark brown or black color stain to blend.

@administrator Thank you so much I didn’t really want to go dark what color brown would you think and brand? This deck is such a disappointment I’m trying to stay away from solid stain

Armstrong Clark Black Walnut or TWP 1504 Black Walnut.

Thanks again for the info and saving me from stripping this deck more. I looked up the stains you said in black walnut they look so dark 😩 I’m going to get a sample and see. I think it would be ok will the black spindles 😊
