Hi Scott,
We have been using Behr Deck Cleaner and Strippers. What would you suggest for better performance and less expensive options? We are mostly pressure washing but we do like to use proper prep products so the wood does not get damaged.

Behr prep products are not very efficient and cost more than normal. Very the best price, you would want powdered prep products. They come in Wood Deck Cleaners, Wood Deck Brighteners, and Wood Deck Stain Strippers. Each powdered concentrate makes roughly 5 liquid gallons. No reason to pay for water 🙂
Look at Restore-A-Deck Prep Products. They work great!

Do you have any other questions? What are using currently to strip solid stains?

We have never had luck stripping solid stains so we typically recoat with another solid deck stain. Do you know of a product that removes solid color deck stains?
Yes. The RAD PaintStrip will remove solid stains or paints. See here for tips:

@administrator Thanks, Scott. Do you know if they offer samples to test out the RAD PaintStrip?

We do not know what is on there now so switching. We want to try the Restore A Deck stain since it can be done on the same day as prep.
@sp-decks Strip and Brighten. This will ensure your new stain properly adheres and penetrates.
