Hello, I have a question for those of you who have used TWP 1500 as I'm considering this product.
I have used Woodrich Timber Oil in the past on my Cedar deck. Very happy with the application, color, and results. In 08, I cleaned, stripped and brightend my deck using Woodrich Brand EFC38 and Citralic, very easy and restored the wood to is natural state. When fully dry I applied the Timber Oil with a brush and can attest to its deep diving action. The deck is on the North side of my home so its not exposed to full sun all day. First two years the deck still looked great. Year three I should have given it another coat but it was still ok. Its year 4 and its dues for staining, although some areas actually still holding up well. Some areas have heavy green moss/mildew but no black mold. I'm going to restore again with EFC 38 and Citralic because I trust those products.
Here is the question about TWP 1500.
Does it dive deep and is easy to apply like the Timber Oil, with no overlaps? When dry, does it "Shine" or "Sheen" as some stains do? I don't want that "wet" look. Again, I really liked the Timber Oil, but am considering TWP based on the high rating I've seen on this site.
Thanks.
I am always a believer that if you are happy with a product then you should not switch unless forced too. 🙂
