Deck Stain Stripping Questions and Answers

My deck has a worn and peeling solid stain (looks just like your picture in how to remove a solid stain).
If I use the alkalai stripper, must I tape and mask off all the newly painted (2 weeks) siding the deck butts up to? Or can I rinse the painted surface as I go? What about when I try to pressure wash the stripped deck? Many thanks.
