I have a long neglected deck I'm trying to restore.  Part of it was originally built in 2004 and an extension added in 2010.  In 2010 I prepped and stained the deck with Penofin Ultra Premium semi transparent.  Since then I've totally neglected it.  This weekend I stripped and brightened it with Restore A Deck.

I'm slightly dissappointed with the results but since I'm a novice this may be the best I should expect.  The general issue is the stripper worked effectively in removing 95% of the previous stain but the wood still has a dirty appearance.  Or at least it's not as new looking as I was originally hoping for.

I've attached pictures showing the before and after.  The second picture is when I power washed off the stripper on the railing, but you can see the floor boards to the side how bad of shape they were in.

When I was about three quarters done, I mixed a new batch of stripper but the sprayer got clogged so I ended up using a paint brush to apply it to the last 25%.  In the last picture you can really see how it didn't take as well.

My question is, should I go ahead and do a second pass of stripping and brightening, or after all the neglect over the years is this as good as it gets. I was hoping to use a somewhat clear semi transparent stain showing the natural wood, but not if it looks like this.

Thanks for any help.
