I have a 5 yr old deck that I recently had dark bronze aluminum panels with screens added to. I purchased Restore-a-deck stripper and brightener as well as TWP 1500 stain. Do I need to mask off the aluminum panels and the vinyl siding on the home when I apply the stripper and brightener to protect the finish on the aluminum panels and the siding?

I also had a front porch added to the home as well. It's open as opposed to the screened in back porch and the deck is new wood.  I'll be using Restore-a-deck cleaner and brightener to that deck before staining. Since the home has vinyl siding, will the siding also need to be masked off to protect it from the cleaner and brightener used there?

I've decided to apply the stripper and cleaner with a sprayer and the stain with pads to keep splashing to a minimum, given the screened panels on the back and the fact that the rest of the front porch other than the deck is to be painted after the staining job is finished. Thoughts on whether this is the best approach or not?

A small chance of a reaction with the aluminum but always best to test first. No issues with vinyl.

Do you know that new wood needs to season 4-12 months before using the TWP?

Thanks for the reply. I'll make sure to cover the aluminum. Yes, I was aware of having to wait   after reading the information provided on this site. Having no prior experience with this, the information I've been able to get from this site is invaluable.
