Hello, I have a one year old ipe deck that I want to stain. My contractor stained it the first time. I’m not sure what product he used.
Do I just clean and then stain?
Or do I need to use a brightener also? Also some of the deck is beside a swimming pool. What do you suggest for best water repellant?

Also, I don't have to strip it first?
From what I'm reading, I should strip if I'm switching brands. Thanks!
