Hello -

Live in CA in a full sun deck. Applied stain and got this fade after the second coat.

Advice?

No ideas what caused it but you will have to remove it to fix.

No other options? I read maybe adding deck cleaner to remove the white wash

I highly doubt a cleaner will remove this.
