Just finished frame, decking just arrived: Tigerwood field with ipe borders. I read the primers on both staining and new decks, here's my plan:
Install decking
Leave to weather/age/'loosen up' till October-ish
If properly seasoned/'dry' I will clean & brighten THEN stain one light coat
NEXT summer, late, same clean/brite/stain
QUESTION/S:
Suggestions for a grain-enhancing stain color with great UV results? For the Tiger, I mean.
I see the recommendations for Defy Extreme Clear when looking for no color, what would be your FAVE suggestion, tinted or not, for the Tiger?
If your suggestion happened to handle the Ipe at the same time with the same product I would not be sad.

Excellent site & info! Thanks so much

Tinted will last much longer than clear. Try the Defy Hardwood stains. Get some color samples to test since you are not in a rush. Same stain for both the Tigerwood and IPE.
