First, thanks for the recommendation of TWP. We just finished staining the deck and it looks great. My question: We plan to use a solid stain on the latticework. We’ll clean and brighten. Should I use a primer before using a solid stain? I’m in NC, hot, humid and the latticework gets full sun on one end and mostly shade on the other.
