Deck Stain Questions and Answers

I bought Flood CWF-uv5 stain and a wood/deck pump sprayer. I can't get the stain to mist at all and wondered if it was just too thick for this pump sprayer. Does anyone have any tips on what to use to get this to go on correctly? I know I will more then likely need to back brush, but this isn't coming out at all right
