I've got a deck with old and new boards that had behr deckover covering them. I'm sanding everything down right now but wanted to know if there's a good semi-transparent stain brand/color that would make it all look somewhat consistent.

The obvious solution is solid (why the previous owners chose that) but I don't like how it tends to peel and the look of painted decks generally. If that's the only option I'll go with it but if you all had good experience with a semi-transparent oil-based stain in the same situation I'd love to know.

Also curious if RAD wood brightener would help the difference in shade between the boards? Is it ok to use with another cleaner I already have (Olympic Deck Cleaner)? Thanks!

The only way would be to use solid stain. A brightener would not even it out.
