I am using DEFY wood stain, cleaner and brightener to stain my deck. On August 30 (16 days ago), I performed the following steps: applied the deck cleaner, power washed the deck, applied the brightener, then hosed the deck off. After a few days of drying, the deck shows signs of minor damage resulting from the power washer. I sanded the entire deck to resolve this. Then, I stained the railings and spindles. The results are great - it looks excellent. However, I did not have time to stain the horizontal surfaces and the deck appears to need another cleaning and brightening.

I would prefer not to sand again, and therefore, don't think it's a good idea to power wash. Can I get away with re-applying the cleaner, scrubbing with a stiff brush, hosing, re-applying brightener, and hosing again?
