Mystery composite deck

I verified with Trex that it isn't their product. House built in 2006, we are the 3rd owners. Owners number 2 likely did not do maintenance on deck, rails, steps.  I am looking to clean and hopefully restore product. (If it is revivable, can/should I stain it in some fashion?)  The posts appear to be painted wood in poor shape, can I use products recommended on both the composite and the wood.  How low or high should I develop expectations?

Just pressure wash it with a deck cleaner to remove the algae and mildew. You can apply a solid stain to the railings. Leave the composite unstained.

Thank you Deck Stain Help.  May I ask if there is a particular deck cleaner you would recommend? The Trex people proposed Olympic Brightener and Wash or vinegar.  Same question for recommendations on the solid stain.  Thank you very much.
