How do I remove a heavy, black rust stain from cedar deck boards? The deck was just pressure washed to prepare for application of Armstrong stain. The affected area is approximately 1 foot long by 4 inches wide. Can I use Outdoor Bleach?

Post a picture. Bleach will not work.

This is a picture of the stain. The wood has been pressure washed. This stain happened after it was pressure washed. It has occurred to me that I can turn the board over, if necessary.

A wood brightener would be your best option but it seems deep in the wood. You would have to brighten all the deck so it is even.

Thanks for your quick response. We have RAD Cleaner & Brightener but I think I will opt to flip the board.

The deck is 40 feet long and 12 feet wide. A lot of surface to brighten.
