Stripping old stain off stair stringer and deck spindles

Any suggestions on how to remove stain from spindles and stair stringers?  We have used several different types of stripper and also tried sanding the spindles, but can't get in between where they are nailed to the deck.  We have the same issue with between the deck boards.  We've spent about 50+ hours on this deck and and just can't seem to get the rest of the stain off.  The deck has a semi transparent oil-based stain on it.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you.
