A botch job was done on my deck recently with semi-solid stain - it looks awful - how long do I have to wait to remove it with stripper? The deck was painted on a hot day and the whole thing looks streaky and uneven. The stain seems to have adhered to the wood.

What brand was it and how many coats. You can post a picture here as well.

It was Cabot semi-solid, one coat on deck and cedar wall, as well as railings. Not sure deck was properly sanded, it was very hot, deck faces sun.

That is basically a solid color with the way it looks. Not sure if a stripper will remove it all. Was the Cabot water or oil based?

You may need to sand it off.
