Hello, we just bought a log cabin home that has had two additions on it using hemlock siding. We are renovating again, and can't match the hemlock so we are getting pine siding. The hemlock siding has never been treated, and the log cabin itself was painted many, many years ago, and most of the paint has chipped off. Would you recommend the TWP 1500 stain to use on the home?

Thank you in advance!

You cannot use a semi-transparent stain like TWP over a paint. I am confused to if you are wanting to treat the painted area, just the new siding, or both?
