Love this site, Thank you!! We have a 12x12 covered deck one story up, with uncovered stairs to ground. We live in Michigan. The wood is pressure treated (don’t know type). Deck is approx. 1 year old, unstained. We loved a two-toned deck we saw and wanted to do the same: white on the verticals, gray on the horizontals. The contractors who have quoted the job all want to use SuperDeck for the horizontals, and one suggested Woodscapes acrylic for the verticals. SuperDeck seems to have terrible reviews though. We thought instead to use TWP because it is so highly recommended, and it looks like their semi-solid pro series can be tinted to any custom color. We were wondering if others have tinted TWP, and how it turned out? Or would anyone recommend another brand for white and gray colors? Attached are two pictures of our deck, and one picture of the finished inspiration deck. Thank you for any advice!!
Use a white solid stain for the rails and a gray semi-transparent or semi-solid for the floors. TWP does not custom tint but they have some semi-solid gray colors that would work for you. Stay away from Super Deck and Decksacpaes. Your painters seem limited to going only to Sherwin Williams and their deck products are poor.
