Great website...

However I've noticed that the stains reviewed here cannot be tinted. Do you have a recommendation for a good tintable base? I'm wanting to keep the same color.

Deck is in Ohio, and faces south, so plenty of sun. After two years, the Cabot semi-solid I put down peeled up. I would like to maintain the same color (forest green), but can't find any reliable (read:unbiased) reviews of tintable bases. I am in search of something with more longevity. The verticals (ballusters and so forth) still seem to be wearing well though.

Pressure-washed most of the stain off (98% or so) already, and am letting it dry out now. Do I need to strip off everything and brighten even if I go over it with another semi-transparent?

If it is tintable it means it is a filming product that will peel. Penetrating oil based stains are not tintable. 98% is fine for removal.
