We have a brand new red cedar deck 1 week old in Alaska. It is in back, second level partly sunny/shady. Our temps over the next month or so will be lows in 40s and highs in 60s with rain off and on. Our winters are severe with a lot of snow and cold temps/shoveling required. Do you recommend we go ahead and stain now before the winter hits or wait until next summer. We are considering a semitransparent stain such as armstrong per your recommendation.
Thanks
