I am going to stain our house and garage and need a good solid stain. Is there a proper procedure to go through to prep for a new stain. I used Behr for the last 2 times. Can I use a different brand of solid stain this time? Something better? Thanks.

So, is it okay to put a different brand of stain over the Behr after I have prepped the siding since it is a solid??

Super.
The problem with the review is that I am having a tough time finding those top brands anywhere near me. I'll keep checking because I really don't want to order it online.
Why is it that all the places around only carry the stuff that is rated as crappy.
