Last weekend, I sanded, cleaned and brightened my porch and deck. This weekend I planned to stain using TWP 1500. However, the forecast is for 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms. Unfortunately, if I do not stain this weekend, I will not be able to stain again for 5-6 weeks and then again will have to deal with potential rain. My question is, if indeed it does rain how will it affect the finish and my staining project?

If it rains on the TWP while wet it will cause issues with how the stain dries and it may become spotty.

The prepping looks good! What did you use to clean and brighten?

Thanks for the quick response as I'm debating whether to go forward or not. I think I will do the porch as it is covered except for the bottom two steps.

Thanks for complement. I used Wolman DeckBrite and Olympic Oxy-Deck. These were my best options from Amazon on short notice.
