Hello,
I have spent a great deal of the day reading through your very informative site. Learned lots but still have a question as to which stain to use.
I live in western Canada, we get snow, but less than many parts, hot dry summers.
Brand new fence of rough sawed fir. Never stained.
Variable sun exposure as on 3 sides of property.
As I am in Canada, limited stain options. We want semi-transparent. Of the not too poorly rated stains I can find Sikkens, superdeck and Flood. Maybe Olympic. You don't rate the Floodpro, is it much different from the Flood CWF UV5?

Seems I can get Messmers as well. Didn't make it to that store today.

I also can get the older version (oil based) of the Benjamin Moore semi-transparent stain which is not rated by you guys. I appreciate your thoughts
