sap oozing?

I'm staining a new deck that has treated wood (pine I think)...the usual boards you get at Lowes, etc. A couple of boards on the steps has what I think is sap oozing from them. Its an aqua-colored greenish stick material, so I think its sap. I don't know what to do with this or if anything can be done. I have not stained those boards yet. After reading some I think perhaps I should have waited several months to stain but the contractor said it was ok to do so. Anyway, its all stained now except for the steps. What about this "sap"?
