Im having the toughest time locating the right color to restore the look of my brown PT deck. Now the deck is in decent shape and color (just somewhat lighter after 1.5yrs). It has never been stained and so am having a deck stainer come out -- he'll be applying Armstrong Clark oil based stain. Sadly Armstrong doesnt quite have the color to restore my deck to its original brown PT color.

How do you guys feel about Thompson's Water Seal Advanced Natural Wood Protector or Thompson's Waterproofer, Clear Wood Protector? It seems to go on clear and has water + UV protection. Going on clear i'm sure means it will have a wet look to it which is fine as long as it give my deck that natural healthy look.

Would you recommend using this product over AC oil stain? What kind of protection will i actually get against the elements?

Thx

Thompsons is a poor product in our opinion. We would not suggest it or ever use it.
