Request help on the best product that I should be considering for staining/sealing the fence based on the following details.

Location: Northern California (San Jose)

Wood: Redwood (New fence which is approximately 6 months old).

Its a south facing lot with ample sunlight.

What would your recommendation be between Restore - A - Deck, Armstrong Clark and Timber Oil (Woodrich).  My goal is to pick the most reliable product that works for at least 2 - 3 years with minimal rework during this time frame. I am assuming that I should use a deck cleaner to clean the fence before applying the stainer. What would your recommendation be on the cleaner?

How much deck cleaner/stainer am I looking at for staining a 1250 sq.feet fence?

Thanks for your help!!!

Try the Armstrong Clark or the Restore-A-Deck Wood Stain. Prep with the RAD Cleaner and Brightener kit.

Amount needed varies by brand. About 1o gallons for 2 coats of AC and 12 gallons of two coats of the RAD Stain. This is assuming the fence is rough sawn cut. If smooth wood, use 2/3 of those amounts and only apply one coat.

2 RAD prep kits.

Did you count both sides of the fence in your sq footage? Length x Height x 2 is the way to measure a fence.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am not sure whether its rough sawn cut or smooth wood.

Enclosed are the pics of the fence. Is it possible to tell based on the attached pics?
