A few years ago, I used Behr semi transparent stain for my deck and it chipped and peeled the first winter. Now, a few years later I am ready to tack the deck again. I pressure washed, used the Behr cleaner on my hands and knees and used a wire brush to remove any loosened wood. Wanting it to look perfect, I filled nail holes and cracks with wood filler. When I began to apply the stain, the wood filler shows through. Now I am in need of a water based solid color stain that will last more than a year. Any recommendations.

Wood filler does not work on outside wood. As for solid stains, I would look at the Flood Solid stain.
