I have a 6 year old home that I built myself.
It has half round southern pine siding.
It was initially just coated with Thompsons Waterseal
As you can see it is a bit of a mess.
What would you recommend to even out the colors
and get me to a warm honey color.
Thanks in advance for your help in this
Greg

Prep with the Restore A Deck Kits and pressure washing. Stain with TWP in the Honeytone. It will look great!

No idea. Check with manufacturers.

I received your RAD kit.
I want to play with it before the real deal.
If I mix up some of it, is there a pot life of the chemical?
Or should I just mix what I want to use for my trial?

The cleaner is only active for a hour or two. The brightener stays active indefinitely. Make sure you mix the cleaner in a separate container then transfer to a pump prayer for application. It does not dissolve 100% and you want to to careful that you do not clog your sprayer tip. Apply the cleaner and pressure wash off making sure that you wash with the grain of the wood. Concentrate on removing the oxidized/gray wood cells and the black mold. Do in sections of 100-200 sq. feet at a time.

Thanks for all your help.
I did a sample today.
Here are the before and after pics.

The question I have now is, In the first post I mentioned that the
siding was treated with Thompsons Water Seal.
Will the cleaner take that off and get to the wood underneath?

Look forward to this project.
The 2x6 was Doug Fir, I just wanted some perspective.

The cleaner is not a stripper but since it has been 6 years, it should remove it.

Good morning.
I am setting up to clean a gable end.
I need to know if I have to drape the
wood under the platform of the scaffold?
I am worrying about the cleaner dripping
on the lower wood and streaking it or not
being able to clean it properly when I get to it.
I will be working from top down.

Thanks for the help

Greg

It may streak it. Hennishly though this whole side should take less then 30-60 minutes to clean and brighten when using a pressure washer. Key is to move fast and keep a wet surface. We would apply the cleaner to the entire side of the house, pressure wash all, rinse, then brighten all.
