I have a 700 sqft deck facing SE so plenty of sun.  Live in MN so all four seasons.  Deck is four years old and the old semi-transparent stain is worn out. I have spent 20 hours on the prep, stripper, power washing, sanding with a random orbital sander and 80 grit paper. I just ordered up some TWP 100 stain.

What is the best, meaning even a monkey could do it, method for applying the stain?  Railing first or last? Can I walk on it to wipe down the possible pooling areas? I am too old to do that prep again!

Thanks!

Railing first, floors last. use stain pads for applying. You can walk in your first coat but not your second coat.

I have three days of sunny weather and I am ready to go!  One last question.  The deck is 35 x 20.  My plan is to do three boards at a time down the entire 35 foot length.   Once I hit the end should I come back and hit it again for the second wet on wet coat and then wipe up any pooling?  Or, do I do the whole deck and then come back?
