Hi! Last summer we powerwashed and lightly sanded our 20x20,3 yr old PT deck, which is half in full sun, half covered, and had not been stained previously. We applied Pittsburgh Paints SunProof Semi-Opaque Alkyd Oil Stain as directed, brushing it out evenly. We were instructed not to use 2 coats as it may create a film and peel. The stain has rubbed off
a lot in the sunny area, and somewhat in the heavier traffic area that is covered. We need to do something, but are at a loss! I have seen a lot about products like Behr Deckover, Olympic RescueIT!, and a similar product by Rustoleum. Have you done any testing on this type of product?
Any advice/ suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!

We have yet to test the SunProof or use it. Most likely you will need to strip it off and start over.

Okay 🙁
As far as my other question-
" I have seen a lot about products like Behr Deckover, Olympic RescueIT!, and a similar product by Rustoleum." Do you have any info on this type of finish?
Thanks!
