Has anyone had any experience with CedarShield Wood Treatment for decks? It says it's the ultimate in wood preservation and only has to be applied ONE time. All the reviews I've read have been excellent. Just thought I'd ask the people here to see if there are any negative reviews, since I have yet to find one anywhere. And a one time treatment? Doesn't seem to me that you can get any better than that.
This is a gimmick in our opinion. It is supposed to internally stabilize the wood cellular structure which can help with moisture, rot, etc. What it does not do is protect the exposed wood from UV graying, dirt, mold, etc and that it why you need to redo your deck every 2-3 years. If you use it, you will still need to apply a deck stain and clean the exposed wood as needed.
