Help please! I built a log cabin 30 years ago in Greer Arizona at 8500 ft elevation. I wanted to protect the logs without darkening them and I chose CWF by Flood. I have used this product on my log walls and porch railings reapplying about every 4-5 years and as the formulations have changed, I have stuck with the CWF. The logs have darkened over time. I have felt that the new CWF was maybe not as good as the old CWF but couldn't find any information that would make me change. Now I see your review on CWF which confirms some of my suspicions. I am about to launch into recoating the cabin walls and railings and would like some advice on the best product to use. The expertise at my local big box stores isn't what it used to be. I would like to find a product that I can apply directly over my CWF coated walls without stripping. Any suggestions?

You need to strip or corn cob blast off the CWF. Nothing will go on top and perform correctly.

Once removed, look at Armstrong Clark stain for this.
