My pressure treated pine deck is 7 years old. I stained the floor 3 years ago with DEFY. I have never stained the vertical surfaces. I will use TWP 100 or DEFY to stain the entire deck now.

Do I need to strip the DEFY stain off the floor boards? It penetrated very well.

Can you also give me advice on how to clean the blackened ends of the boards?

If you stay with the Defy then just clean and recoat. If you switch then you will need to strip it off. Not sure on the blackened ends as it may be water damage and that cannot be cleaned off. If mold then use a deck cleaner.
