Last weekend I rebuilt a portion of our fence (two section and gate). I used cedar pickets and rails and pressure treated 4x4 posts (all new wood - no paint/stain). The pickets and all the posts (except for one which I bought this last weekend) have been sitting in our garage for over a month. I am going to use Flood CWF Oil. My questions are:
1. I believe I can stain the cedar now (before it starts to weather.....what should I use (if anything) to prep it? Flood sells a Finish Remover and a Cleaner/Brightener. Maybe something else?
2. Should I wait to stain the pressure treated posts? If so, for how long and how should I prep those?

I forgot to add.....the pickets are rough sawn cedar, the rails are "smooth" cedar 2x4s and the posts are "smooth" pressure treated 4x4s.

It says I need both a cleaner and a brightener but that seems like overkill to me. I can see cleaning it to remove the "coating" but why the brightener too?

How long should I wait before I stain the pressure treated. We've had very little rain and it's been four weeks since I built the fence. Thanks in advance!
