I have new boards and they are plain PT lumber. I picked up deck stripper thinking it would just do a better job, now I realize a cleaner was what I should have for new boards. My question is, will the stripper be overkill and harm the new boards, or can I just use the stripper and avoid returning it for a cleaner? Also, is it ok to proceed with the process if it's 40 degrees? I sell my house in 2 months and don't have time to let it "weather" naturally (my climate of New Mexico is very dry, so the wood should be ready faster).

Thank you; I returned the stripper for cleaner, and will wait for warmer temps for stain.

One more quick question; is there any risk of damaging nearby stucco with the deck cleaner, or will it be ok if I rinse the stucco off when I rinse the deck in 15 minutes after application?

Just prewet and rinse any over spray and you should be okay.
