I am getting my deck pressure washed (just plain water) and am wondering if it removes the graying, dirt, and green algae/mold do i still need to use the restore-a-deck cleaner as well? I planned on doing the brightener either way. However, i want to do it right so I'll do whatever is recommended and if that means also doing the cleaner with the brightener I will. Thanks for any advice.

You should always use a cleaner when washing a deck. Less potential damage for the pressure washer.

My 15 yr old redwood decks have had Penofin Clear applications. In between applications, I've cleaned with TSP powder and water. This year I power washed off the darkened surface to remove the old Penofin that had turned black in some shaded areas of the decking. Still can't remove all the heavy black. Probably some mildew issues but the power washing has stripped down the wood pretty harshly. Where do I go from here? And what products will clean, brighten (if needed) and seal the decks again.

I would strip and brighten the wood with the RAD products then stain with TWP.

It was my plan to use the cleaner with a low pressure pressure washer however I don't have that option. Long story short my friend who owns a pressure washing business misunderstood me apparently when i asked him to come give me a quote regarding doing that. He just pressure washed it....while i was on vacation so it wasn't like I could stop him. 🙁 So...that said, it looks good however their is still a tinge of green here and there. I was going to use a cleaner on it anyway but thought i'd ask before going through with it in case it won't matter I don't want to waste my time. Should I just use the brightener or not even bother with any of it? Thanks.

Brightener will not remove the green. A watered down bleach solution might but we are not fans of using bleach on wood.

Built a redwood deck 10 months ago, two months ago used TWP as a stain. To prep I use "Restore a Deck" both cleaner and brightener before stain. The stain looks faded and it looks like it needs another application. Should I stain again and if so, should I use Restore a Deck cleaner or just power wash?

Wait at least 6 months from when you applied the TWP and lightly wash with water and reapply a very very light coat of the TWP.
