About ten days ago, in preparation for sealing a six month old cedar deck, I cleaned the deck with Defy deck cleaner and then used the Defy brightener product. The result was the cedar looked brand new. However, there was a white residue remaining on some of the boards. It would not come off with water. I ended up lightly sanding it off. It 's all gone now and looks great but I'm just curious what may have caused this??
Probably just raised wood grain. Typically is not noticeable when stain is applied.
