Yes, you should prep all. The pine is smooth so best to wait on staining that part.

Most likely they only way to fix this now is to sand it all off. Adding more on top, and it will probably peel again by next Spring.

What about the pine? And in regards to the prep for the interior pieces, do I go ahead and use RAD on everything before staining?

I meant brightener. In other words - should I or shouldn't I use brightener before staining for first time a 2-year old IPE deck? Thanks!

If all the wood is rough sawn cut you do not need to let it weather. Go ahead and stain. It is dry enough. Post some pics when done!

No rollers. Deck stain brushes or deck stain pads. We use the pads by Padco or Shurline.

Also - all the wood is rough cedar, with the exterior wall paneling being shiplap knotty pine.

About 2 years possibly 3. Clean and brighten the wood when redoing.
