Use the Armstrong Clark or TWP 1500. You cannot top coat a deck stain with a clear sealer.

At this point, you should just leave it alone until next Spring. Strip and redo at that time.
Might want to try and reclean and then brighten the wood after.
It is not an old stain as there is one side of the deck that has never been stained and it has the same black spots.
