Use one of these brands:/p> AC semi-solid would work well. Does better than other brands when in full sun.

Prep is fine and yes on the Two-toned approach. Solid stain for verticals and semi-transparent for floors. Use RAD products.

Railing first, floors last. use stain pads for applying. You can walk in your first coat but not your second coat.
