This week I bought 5 gallons of Thompson's deck stain (Acorn) and the stain was thick and clumpy. Thick like a house paint. I mixed it the best I could and used it on part of my deck. It is not the color that's on the can. It is an orange/brown color. It's awful and my wife is so mad at me. Would I have to strip all this off before re staining?

Yes, you will have to sand this off. Stripping will probably not remove it.
