staining/repairing options for old deck

I live in MD. I have a 15+ year old 20x40 pressure treated pine deck that needs to be restored/stained. I plan on moving soon, so I don't want to replace all the floor boards. My plan was to purchase a deck restore/deck repair product, but all the reviews are very negative. The deck needs more than just stain. Now, I don't know what to do.
Would you recommend that I rent an orbital floor sander and then stain?
