Staining new wood

Hi - I want to use TWP 1500 because of your testing here. But, I am installing a cedar fence along my property line in a row home. This means, once I put it up, I wont have easy access to the outside side of it. Thus, I want to stain the pieces before they go up so they look finished (both neighbors have fences that provide easy visibility).

I understand I wont get ideal results, but is it "OK" to apply this product on unweathered/new wood?

Also, what do you have any idea where to find examples of how their various colored stains will change cedar??
