Ten days ago I applied two coats of Sherwin Williams Deckscapes acrylic solid stain. The color has created a huge controversy. Is it realistic to think that this stain (two coats)can be stripped/sanded in order to change colors, or would I have a significantly better chance of success if I let it age 6 months or so before attempting to start over ? What an idiot I am !! Advice would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot strip off a solid stain. The only way to remove this is to sand it all off.

Have never sanded to remove solid stain but have heard it's a tough job. Can it be successfully sanded now (current coating has been down only ten days), or would chances improve significantly if I waited until Spring ? Thanks again.
