I have searched wide and far and it seems this is not a common question.

I live in California, the garage doors face east.

I have considered the following stains:
- Behr
- Superdeck
- Cabot
- Thompsons

Seems like someone has something bad to say about all of them. I would like to get something that is readily available and doesn't cost 100 / gallon.

I want something transparent or semi-transparent so we can see the grain, and I want something darker, closer to the original.

The attached picture shows two doors, the one on the left is the original, and the one on the right I have already cleaned with the Behr Wood cleaner.

All tips/ideas/thoughts are appreciated!

If you want a brown like the left then look at the TWP 1503 Dark Oak.
