We built a house and moved in Feb 2013. Probably have waited too long, but we have not stained our deck yet. As spring is close here in Va planning to do it soon. What stain would you recommend, and should I pressure wash the deck first ? Thanks

Prep with the Restore A Deck Kit and pressure washing. Do not use just water as it may damage the deck if you use too much pressure. Stain with Armstrong Clark or TWP 1500.

Thanks for the response. Where do you guys suggest buying the Restore A Deck and TWP stain from? I know we can't get them in big box stores.

Sorry found the website. However, I did find out that TWP 100 can be shipped to me, just not in northern VA. That being said would you recommend TWP 100 over the 1500?

Great site! I just need the best advise on cleaning/ prepping a cedar fence that has grayed. We live in South Central Idaho and have a cedar fence that is appx 10yrs old and has never been treated or stained.

Which cleaner and stain would you recommend? A natural color is all I'm after with out having to redo it every year.

Restore A Deck Kits for the cleaning and brightening. Stain with TWP 1500 or Armstrong Clark for this. Both will last 3-6 years on a fence for most scenarios.
