Our deck in Ohio was built of pine in June of 2013. No stain has been applied. We have aluminum spindles as the railing. Do I need both a cleaner and Brightener? Will the acid in the Brightener react with the aluminum? Which semi-transparency stain will work on a deck in full sun with the dog days of 90 degree summers and harsh snowy winters?
